Graffiti6 - Colours
Their debut record (Colours) just got out and it’s fantastic!
I see colours floating through my mind
Fleet Foxes — Drops in the River
Crown of leaves, high in the window on a cold morning
Young today, old as a railroad tomorrow
Days are just drops in the river to be lost always
Only you, only you, you know
Graffiti6 - Over You
I think this song’s absolutely gorgeous, and said so to the band, to which they hilariously replied “destined for many a valentine’s night”. I’ve given their upcoming album Colours quite a few listens, having claimed the band was up to great things when I first heard Stare Into The Sun, and the album is simply great. This is the last track on the album, and signs off with a staggering amount of class.
This song’s just a stream for now, not download.
Reminds me of Keane’s ‘Love is the End’, and it’s as much as gorgeous.
Mt. Desolation — Bitter Pill
Did you marry someone good?
From our neighbourhood?
Or are you on the other side of the world still searching?
Brandon Flowers — Jacksonville
Take from Brandon’s debut album ‘Flamingo’. Overall, I liked the album, has lots of nice songs, but I’d say it’s a bit too much religiously-themed for my taste (oh yeah, he’s a Mormon).
Keane- The Way You Want It
As you think of her
you wonder if she thinks about you too
…
You’re a fool though, why you feel so bad
Where is the life you once had?
And still this hollow feeling grows and grows
The way you want it to
